In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. Harmony owns 100% of the Eva Copper project, a near-term copper project in Queensland, Australia. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane.This role will be offered as a FIFO opportunity from/to Australia working on a 16/12 day roster.Reporting to the General Manager – Hidden Valley Mine, The TSF Project Manager will oversee the successful delivery of Tailings Storage Facility projects from PFS to operation, ensuring they meet scope, budget, schedule, risk, and regulatory targets. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and strong leadership to foster a proactive culture.The key responsibilities of this role include:Implement a risk-based safety management approach in line with the Hidden Valley Mine Safety and Risk Management Plans.Manage project baseline deliverables (scope, cost, schedule, change, quality) and enforce controls.Maintain project documentation for each phase, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.Analyze Critical Path activities and develop recovery plans.Conduct Schedule Risk Analysis and identify corrective actions.Integrate subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers into the overall program.Monitor and manage project progress, advising on corrective actions as needed.Provide timely, accurate project reporting.Review work, timeframes, and budgets of PFS and DFS consultants.Manage short, medium, and long-term TSF strategies to maximize storage capacity.Develop and manage annual and long-term budgets and schedules for TSF construction.Oversee TSF construction for existing and new facilities, including dams and associated infrastructure.Manage contracts for TSF construction and support services.About You:You should be a self-motivated professional holding the following qualifications and experience:Bachelor of Engineering (Civil, Mining or Geotechnical).Minimum 10 years project management experience including open pit mining in senior supervisory and management roles.Minimum 5 years' experience in contractor management in Tailings Storage Facility design, construction and operations.Knowledge and understanding of Mines Regulations, Lands Dispute Settlement Act, Employment Act, and all other applicable PNG legislation is advantageous.Ability to build, lead and motivate teams.Confident decision maker with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.The ability to work within budgets and to deadlines.What are the benefits of working for Harmony?The opportunity to work for an international mining company with a diverse workforce.Work for a company who values their employees and recognises their contribution.Excellent safety record.Corporate / discounted rates with Medibank and Qantas Club.Access to Harmony's benefits discounts scheme.Successful applicants must be able to meet the requirements for a PNG Work Permit application (organised by Harmony) and a Federal Police Clearance.
