Job Description The Real Estate team at Guzman y Gomez are looking for a Designer to join the team. In this exciting role, you will work alongside a talented team to ensure the seamless execution of GYG's Corporate restaurant design guidelines across new restaurant builds, refurbishments, roll-out projects, and smaller scale initiatives. The Designer plays a key part in shaping the look and feel of GYG restaurants, contributing to our mission of delivering excellent restaurant experiences.
What you can expect:
Develop feasibility and internal plans for GYG restaurant formats, ensuring brand consistency and design standards. Manage external designers and suppliers for the implementation of new store formats and refurbishments. Maintain and update GYG standard documents and guidelines. Review external documentation to ensure compliance with architectural standards, building codes, and safety regulations. Support innovative restaurant designs and refurbishments to maintain GYG's leadership in QSR design. Identify cost-effective solutions to reduce capital development expenditure. Collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to uphold design best practices. Plan and generate design documents, including floor plans and lighting layouts. Produce concept, tender, and construction documentation for refurbishments. You will enjoy this role if you have:
Bachelor of Interior Design / Architecture / Drafting or equivalent Commercial Design experience in Retail or Hospitality is ideal Sound knowledge and understanding of the Building Code of Australia, Industry policies, standards, and codes of practice Good understanding of the construction industry including budgets, build cost breakdowns, and documentation Ability to travel locally and interstate when required Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, and various design software programs for example Sketch Up, In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator and MS Suite We're incredibly proud of our amazing people and always have each other's backs.
