Defence Capability Document Writing SME (ODCS Expert) Are you a skilled Defence writer with demonstrated experience in crafting high-quality Defence capability documents?
We are seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in Canberra to support the development of critical One Defence Capability System (ODCS) artefacts.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Australia's Defence Force initiatives while working on-site in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
As the Defence Capability Document Writing SME, you will play a key role in developing tier one and supporting documents, including:
Capability Life Cycle (CLC) artefacts.
Briefs, Minutes, CABSUBs, MINSUBs, and other formal submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver clear, concise, and accurate Defence capability documents aligned with ODCS requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency, quality, and adherence to Defence writing standards.
Provide expert advice on Defence writing and document development processes.
Manage timelines and priorities to deliver high-quality ODCS artefacts in a fast-paced environment.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience in Defence writing, specifically in developing ODCS documentation.
Strong understanding of Defence Capability Life Cycle (CLC) frameworks.
Exceptional Defence writing skills with attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to Defence tone and style.
Demonstrated ability to draft CABSUBs, MINSUBs, Briefs, and Minutes.
Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
