Embedding Indigenous Perspectives in the curriculum is supported by a locally developed and contextually relevant Framework.The position will be based at the Primary Campus of Yarrabah State School. Applicants who are from State Schools must have the permission of their supervising principal before applying as release from the school will require their principal's authorisation. A Special Education Unit supporting students across all campuses is located at the Primary campus with a specialist facility provided at the Secondary campus.Yarrabah State School has been recognised as a Centre of Excellence for Indigenous Education and is committed to providing high quality education for all students with a focus on achievement and continuous improvement.Students enrolled at the school live in the community proper or in the outlying areas including Reeves Creek, Mourigan, Oombunji Creek and Back Beach. Most students walk to school or ride a bike. Students in the outlying areas catch the school bus operated by the Yarrabah Council.
