We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, customer service-oriented Guest Service Agent to join our busy Front Office team.
The property is a 4-star motel located in the heart of Shepparton, comprising 46 motel rooms and apartments. Our stylish and modern rooms are the ideal base for anyone travelling commercially or for leisure, who wants easy access to the many attractions of the Goulburn Valley region. A popular destination for weekend getaways, conferences, corporate visitors, leisure groups, and families, the Wyndhamere Motel is conveniently located just two hours' drive from Melbourne. The property is managed by 1834 Hotels.
Our GSA role is a key part of the daily motel operations by maintaining a high level of customer service and processing front office procedures effectively and efficiently with a high level of attention to detail.
The key responsibilities will include: Providing a high standard of customer service to all guests, at all times; Completing the front office procedures with a consistently high level of accuracy and attention to detail; Processing all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys; Processing all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit, and resolving any late and disputed charges during check-outs; Answering, recording, and processing all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns; Coordinating with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in; Supplying guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest; running daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identifying any special requests, and checking reports for accuracy; Administration, operational requirements, and accounts follow-up; Communicating relevant information to the General Manager in a professional manner; and Any additional tasks deemed reasonable by the General Manager. The ideal candidate will have: A can-do, responsible, and flexible approach to work with a strong work ethic; Prior experience in the front office function in a similar environment; Proven ability to be a proactive individual with strong organisational and time management skills; Well-developed problem-solving and analytical skills, excellent communication skills; A passion for exceeding guest expectations and providing a high standard of guest service; Ability to contribute and work as part of a small team; A strong eye for detail and a focus on accurate reporting; Capable and proficient in using computers/technology; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Exceptional personal presentation and grooming; A strong appreciation and compliance with workplace safety. Previous experience in hospitality or a customer service-based role will be highly regarded. This is a casual role over a 7-day roster, including weekdays, weekends, and public holidays.
