Ashmore Palms Holiday Village – Southport QLD
We are looking for friendly, motivated, and experienced Guest Service Agents to join the team at Ashmore Palms Holiday Village.
Ashmore Palms Holiday Village is an Australian family-owned Holiday Park. We specialise in providing holiday accommodation, short- & long-term cabins, group, and corporate accommodation, and four caravan sites.
We are looking for bright, motivated, and enthusiastic Guest Service Agents to join our front office team who live and breathe customer service.
The successful applicant will complement our team and help provide excellent services to our guests, including:
Answering phone calls, emails, social media messages, and live chat (advanced computer skills required). Making computer reservations and checking guests in and out. Performing RTA inspections, processing long-term rental applications, and completing forms. Replying to company reviews. Coordinating with Housekeeping and Maintenance to track readiness of rooms for check-in. Running daily reports, identifying any special requests, and checking reports for accuracy. Completing designated cashier, banking, and closing reports in NewBook reservation system. Supplying guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest. Standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time. Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 10 kilograms without assistance. Following all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager. Other reasonable duties as required. The role is a casual position (20+ hours per week depending on the needs of the business) and will include day and night shifts, weekends, and public holidays as we are open from 6.30am to 8.00pm across 7 days a week.
What are we looking for? To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate a minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role, preferably within the hotel/resort industry, and proven experience in a face-to-face customer service or hospitality position.
The successful applicant will also possess the following skills & attributes:
Positive attitude, excellent grooming standards, and good communication skills. Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service. Professional phone manner & personal presentation. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail & time management skills. Strong level of IT proficiency is a must. Experience in residential property management (RTA Agreements) and/or NewBook (Reservation Management System) would be an advantage.
A second language could be an advantage, but English must be excellent.
