Job DescriptionAssist guests with check in and checkout, and other cashiering dutiesProvide a warm welcome to guests on arrival and register them as well as issuing room keys by using the appropriate standardsEfficiently assist guests throughout their stay with any requirements, handling guest feedback, providing direction and giving suggestionsHandle guests' mails, messages, and answer phone callsMaximize room revenue by up-selling to a higher rate category and selling the highest possible rates for walk-in guestsComply with hotel and department policies and procedures at all timesMaintain the privacy of all guests by ensuring that no details of the guests are disclosed to anybodyAttend daily briefings and relevant departmental meetingsEnsure the safety, security and loss control policies and procedures are complied with at the front desk and back office areaSupervise and ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of the Front Desk, ensuring all hotel guests and visitors receive an optimum level of service and care at all timesEnsure cleanliness and appearance of Front Desk and related areasEstablish awareness of the Hotels fire and emergency procedureEnsure vigilance in regard to in-house credit matters and act upon any discrepanciesProvide assistance in the Front Office areas such as Front Desk, Airline Desk, Groups, Rooms Controlling and Lobby GreetersEnsure strict compliance with the Credit Card Privacy – PCI, Cash Float SOPPerform any related duties and special projects as requested by the Front Office Manager/Assistant Front Office Manager/Reception and Duty ManagerQualificationsMinimum GCE 'A' level or equivalent, University degree preferredMinimum 2 years hotel front office experienceComputer Knowledge, i.e. well versed with Windows, Internet Explorer and WordTechnical knowledge in Front Office operationsBasic supervisory skills, verbal and written skills, planning, decision making, training and developmentRead, write, speak English fluentlyWell-groomed with leadership qualityAble to work in a team, good interpersonal and communication skillsDetail-oriented, organized and very flexible with working extended hoursEnergetic with a positive attitudeAble to work under pressure and independentlyAdditional InformationOur commitment to Diversity & Inclusion: We are an inclusive company and what we really hope to achieve is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
