About the Role:
Penrite Racing is seeking a dynamic and strategic Commercial Manager to oversee and drive the commercial initiatives for the Supercars team. In this role, you will manage key areas including strategic partnerships, digital media, content creation, merchandise, media relations, and membership programs. Your focus will be to enhance the team's brand, generate revenue, and maximize commercial potential, ensuring internal and external teams leverage all key programs effectively.
Key Responsibilities: Partnership Acquisition: Lead the development and execution of strategic partner acquisition programs, targeting potential partners and aligning marketing efforts to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements. Business Development: Create a comprehensive business development strategy, focusing on revenue growth for both the team and its partners, and identify new business opportunities within the Grove Group network. Customer Success Program: Design and implement a partner success program to ensure optimal ROI, providing ongoing support, performance tracking, and proactive issue resolution. Fan Engagement: Develop a communication strategy to grow fan engagement via digital platforms, social media, content creation, and public relations. Monitor KPIs and adjust strategies as necessary. Merchandise & Membership Programs: Formulate strategies for merchandise and membership revenue generation, ensuring the development of compelling offerings that resonate with fans and drive growth. Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, including governing bodies, media, and strategic partners. Competitor Analysis: Regularly evaluate commercial programs against key competitors, identifying opportunities for improvements and aligning with market trends. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Revenue targets (overall, partnership, merchandise, membership, events) Social media growth and fan engagement Partnership acquisition and retention Development of new revenue streams What We Are Looking For: Proven experience in commercial management, preferably in sports, media, or entertainment. Strong track record in partnership acquisition and management, including negotiation, onboarding, and performance monitoring. Experience in business development and creating strategies for revenue growth. Exceptional communication and relationship management skills. Knowledge of digital marketing, social media, and fan engagement strategies. Ability to analyze market trends and develop actionable insights.
