As the Groups, Conference & Events Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in managing group bookings and event inquiries.
You'll support the sales process, ensure smooth coordination across teams, and deliver seamless client experiences.
Your organisational skills and attention to detail will be instrumental in creating memorable events that reflect Sofitel's commitment to excellence.
Job Description
A career that lets your passion shine: Respond to inquiries for group bookings and events, qualify leads, and work closely with the senior sales team members on new businessAssist in preparing proposals, contracts, and preliminary event packages with accuracy and professionalismCollaborate with internal teams, including Reservations, Food & Beverage, Banquets, Kitchen, and Front Office, to ensure client needs are metMaintain accurate group booking records, manage room blocks, and ensure all client requirements are documentedPrepare Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) for smaller events and support operations during pre-event briefingsManage deposits and payments, oversee billing processes, and ensure financial accuracy post-eventProvide administrative support to the Sales & Marketing team, including reporting and system updatesQualifications
What you will bring to the role: A luxury attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a high EQ are essentialExperience in event coordination or a similar administrative role in hospitalityStrong organisational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detailExcellent communication and relationship-building abilitiesA client-focused mindset with a passion for luxury service and hospitalityThe ability to prepare Banquet Event Orders, conduct pre-event meetings, and prepare event reportsKnowledge and ability to operate Opera Cloud Software and various CRM systemsAdditional Information
