Group Property Accountant

Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the Group Property Accountant will provide guidance, advice and instruction to the broader business relating to lease accounting treatment and drive the maintenance of the property database to ensure timely, complete, and accurate payment of landlords and compliance of lease accounting requirements.Responsibilities:Lead Property Accounting for the Group's property portfolioPerform Finance Business Partnering with Property Teams for the GroupManage the maintenance of accurate and complete lease and property information for accounting, lease payment and Group Policy compliance purposesPerform month-end financial accounting for the Group's property portfolioOngoing continuous improvement of business practices to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and execution of efficient and effective processesWork closely with audit teams (internal, statutory, SOX, compliance) ensuring their work is completed efficiently, and findings are promptly and adequately addressedAssist with preparation of statutory disclosure requirementsDevelop and launch reporting and statistics for use by business partners and Property Team to use as analytical and diagnostic tool to ensure completeness and accuracy of lease and property portfolioUnderstand and demonstrate behaviour in accordance with all Company policies and procedures, including Code of Conduct, Discrimination, Bullying and EEO and all applicable laws whilst ensuring continual compliance with relevant legislation relevant to the role including OHSRequired Skills/Experience:CPA/CA qualified with 5+ years demonstrated experience in finance related roleStrong business, finance, and commercial acumen, with experience in managing a small teamExcellent management, operational, financial, and administrative skillsAdaptive skills: data analysis, analytical and strategic thinking, problem solving, planning and organisation, presenting, results driven, interpersonally savvy, inquisitive, self-managing, influencing and effective communication (written & verbal)Ability to assess the needs and interests of multiple stakeholders and determine an optimal course of action.Possess strong problem solving and analytical skills and with a high attention to detail.Ability to drive process improvement and plan for appropriate change managementAbility to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment.Passion and desire to identify and drive Continuous ImprovementProgram planning and change managementLooking after you:We are committed to ensuring our people are well looked after.
