Are you our new Group Product Manager?
We're looking for a kind, empathetic product leader to help us grow and lead the product management team. We're one of ANZ's fastest growing start-ups, hitting >16m in ARR in just over 3 years.
This role will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and coaching our product managers. You'll also be responsible for creating a shared product strategy across teams and improving our product practices. You will be a cultural pillar of the Tracksuit team.
We currently have a product and engineering org of ~25 people. We're aiming to be ~40 in the next 6 months. You'll play a key part in growing the team, and you'd also be working closely with our Product Design Lead and Engineering Managers.
Please note — while we have listed this role as being based in our Sydney office, we are also open to Auckland applicants and this person working from our NZ office. We are open to considering people who are keen to relocate to Sydney or Auckland - however you will need the legal right to work.
The Important bits:
You will report to our Head of Product, Harry, sitting within our Product function. You'll join us as a people lead. This full time permanent role is benchmarked as Level 5, with a salary range of $190,000 - $220,000 AUD plus generous ESOP and a full suite of benefits.
This role is exciting because:
We're backed by product-legend Lenny Rachitsky: founder of Lenny's Podcast and Lenny's Newsletter. In Lenny's words: "Across the thousands of startup decks I've looked at, I've almost never seen a growth trajectory like the growth Tracksuit has seen." We're growing, fast: We're one of ANZ's fastest growing start-ups. We're still early: The product team is still relatively small. This is an opportunity to make a huge impact on how product works at Tracksuit. We're product and design-first: We can guarantee you won't have worked in a business that cares so much about a beautiful, simple user experience. The company lives and breathes brand, design, and product. They push us (the product team) to uphold these standards. You'll have high agency: Our roadmap isn't dictated to us, we're empowered to find the problems that are worth solving. We have a joint partnership with design and engineering: we believe the best outcomes come from bringing in design and engineering early, getting them close to the problem (not just the solution). We have really engaged customers who want to build with Tracksuit. They're eager to give us feedback and be part of the journey. As our Group Product Manager, you will be responsible for:
Leading, mentoring and coaching our product managers across ANZ Creating a shared product strategy across teams Shaping our product practices and processes Working across the business to align people around a product strategy Helping us set the tone for how the product team shows up at Tracksuit That's the role, so who are you?
You love to coach and guide product managers: You will have a track record of mentoring and growing product managers. Along with experience in building a strong product culture, growing practices and processes within the team. You lead with empathy and kindness: We're looking for a kind, low-ego, and caring leader: someone who puts their team first and gets excited about helping someone reach their full potential. We're casual, but we really care. We care about the people, care about the products, and care about the process. You should too! You understand the craft of product management: You should have been a product manager yourself, with a deep understanding of product. You'll be guiding our team of product managers, so it's important you have experience yourself with discovery, design, delivery, data, strategy, storytelling, and anything else that makes up the craft of product. You have experience scaling, quickly: We're growing really fast. We're hoping to find someone who has been through a similar growth trajectory and can help us navigate the challenges of scaling a team so quickly. You should have helped scale a SaaS business and product team. You need to be comfortable with our ways of working constantly needing to be redefined as we grow. You can align teams around a product strategy: You can shape a product strategy in a scrappy, fast-moving start up. You can think holistically and commercially when shaping that strategy. You can guide teams to use data to make decisions. You have experience bringing the wider business on a journey to align on our product strategy. You are all about the customer: More than anything, you drive the team and business to think customer-first in everything we do. You have experience working with engineering, design, and the wider business: Able to partner with engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer success, and wider functions to drive successful product outcomes. You are able to lead how the product team communicates with the wider business. Why join us at Tracksuit?
As one of Australasia's fastest growing startups, we've hand-picked a world-class team of kind, ambitious, generous, and smart humans. But don't take our word for it! You'll be joining the:
