About The Role As our Group Procurement Governance Lead, you'll spearhead sustainable solutions within our Strategic Procurement Group, simplifying processes, and driving automation across our global operations.
You'll lead our global procurement governance function, ensuring compliance and shaping future requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation of sustainable procurement practices across Thiess' global operations Develop and execute strategic approaches to compliance and governance Drive ESG initiatives, including supplier dialogue and Modern Slavery compliance Implement and manage cutting-edge procurement tools and analytics Deliver training programs for global procurement and contracts teams About You The ideal candidate for this position is a forward-thinking leader with a strong educational background and extensive professional experience.
We seek an individual who holds tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Engineering, or related fields, providing a solid foundation for understanding complex business operations.
Additionally, the successful applicant will bring extensive experience in commercial, contracts, and strategic procurement, demonstrating a deep understanding of supply chain management and negotiation strategies.

Furthermore, we are looking for someone with a proven track record in implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and compliance measures, showcasing their commitment to sustainable and ethical business practices.
The ideal candidate will possess strong cross-cultural leadership skills and global business acumen, enabling them to navigate diverse international markets effectively.
Advanced financial management and analytical capabilities are also essential, as the role requires a keen ability to interpret data, make informed decisions, and drive financial performance.
