Based in Perth the Group Manager Organisation Development will work closely with the CEO and General Managers, in Australia and in Africa, to implement the Corporate People and Workplace systems for the new operation, and also oversee and improve the existing systems and standards.

Based in Perth the Group Manager Organisation Development will work closely with the CEO and General Managers, in Australia and in Africa, to implement the Corporate People and Workplace systems for the new operation, and also oversee and improve the existing systems and standards. The role will report to the General Manager Organisation Development, who is an external consultant, working part time, with a plan to reducing their involvement over time. The current systems in place include systems for Recruitment, Remuneration, Performance Management, Training & Development, and Succession Planning, to name some.
This manager will also provide HR and OD advice to the Managing Director, General Managers and other leaders who are based in Perth.
There will be frequent liaison with the in-country HR Managers and HSE Managers at each mine site who report to their respective General Manager Operations.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced OD/HR professional with a successful track record in a similar role that has included contributing to systems design & implementation and building & maintaining an effective company culture. While mining sector experience is not essential it is envisaged that this manager is likely to have had experience in an aligned sector. Experience working for a company with operations outside Australia would be preferred but not essential.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively from Senior Management to the work site, coupled with the ability to grasp information quickly to assist managers resolve workplace issues. Excellent skills with MS software in particular Excel, PowerPoint, and Word are required.

The role will require some overseas travel from time to time, possibly 3 to 4 times a year for 1 to 2 weeks.

This role attracts a senior executive remuneration package including a competitive base salary plus superannuation as well as a generous bonus that includes STI and LTI.
