M2P Engineering is looking for an experienced and passionate Group Manager - Health & Safety, to join our Brisbane head office. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the health and safety function across our diverse range of projects, ensuring that we meet and exceed the highest safety standards in the industry, while maintaining an effective and pragmatic approach.
As a key leader within M2P, you will develop and implement comprehensive HSE strategies, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and provide expert guidance to our project teams. Your leadership will be essential in driving safety excellence and ensuring that every employee returns home safely each day.
Based from our office in beautiful Teneriffe, you'll travel out to our project sites and workshops to get hands-on in leading a dedicated team of HSE professionals, working closely with site managers and executive leadership to embed a proactive safety culture across all operations.
You'll Make an Impact By:Developing and executing effective strategic health and safety plans across the organisation.Leading and mentoring a team of HSE professionals to ensure best practices are maintained.Getting boots on the ground to collaborate with project teams to identify, assess, and mitigate safety risks.Overseeing the injury management and return-to-work function.Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards.Promoting a strong safety culture, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and innovation.What You'll Bring:To succeed in this role, you will have:
Extensive experience in health and safety management, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.Comprehensive knowledge of HSE legislation, best practices and return to work.Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Ideally, you will also have:
Experience in managing HSE across multiple sites or projects.A proactive, solutions-focused approach to safety management.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Why M2P Engineering?At M2P, we do a whole lot: engineering, construction, fabrication, maintenance … the list goes on.
