As a Group Manager, First Nations Engagement, you will report into the Head of Inclusion and Diversity for the Qantas Group and accountable for leading the Qantas Group First Nations Employment & Engagement Strategy. The role is responsible for prioritising attraction, engagement, support, development, mobility and retention of our First Nations employees across the Qantas Group, building cultural capability and awareness of our Leaders and employees.
The successful candidate will have strong focus on leadership and achieving outcomes for First Nations Peoples. This role is an identified position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates. To be successful in this role you'll have: Minimum 10 years in Inclusion & Diversity, Organisational Development, Human Resources, or other relevant area
Bachelor qualification human resources, business, organisational psychology, or related field
Previous experience as a Manager First Nations Employment (or similar)
Previous experience in leading, developing and designing career pathway and employment programs.
Previous experience in designing inclusion programs to centre the lived experience of First Nations staff
Demonstrated understanding of Indigenous affairs, cultural practice, and knowledge
Project or program management experience
Strong stakeholder management capability including engaging with leaders across all layers of complex organisational structures
Sound experience in influencing key decision makers in the face of resistance to achieve problem resolution by exhibiting a high level of emotional intelligence.
Strong ability to engage individuals and foster an inclusive and supportive workplace culture.
Highly developed interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
Proven ability to quickly identify issues, structure project plans and develop strategic options.
