That's refreshing.This role will see you leading a team of engineers who are accountable for providing Engineering input throughout the project lifecycle, commencing from project scoping, right through to detailed design and construction.Working across both Customer and Company initiated projects on AusNet's Electricity Distribution network, you and your team will work with initiators, Project Managers and Design Delivery Partners to ensure project scopes and designs are cost efficient, constructible, delivered on time and to high standards of quality.With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is based in our Southbank office, with occasional site visits also required and is part of the Engineering Solutions, Project & Program Delivery team.This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:Provide leadership to an engineering team accountable for project development functions and management of detailed design of Customer and Company initiated projects across AusNet's Electricity distribution network.Play an active role in managing resource allocation across Engineering Solutions to deliver Project Development and Design Management accountabilities.Manage the timely delivery of design projects through working closely with the Ausnet Project Manager and providing technical and delivery support.Regularly monitor and review processes to ensure efficient delivery.Support the design tender process including development of tender documentation, review of proposals and contract award decision making.Provide engineering input into commercial offers on customer projects.Engage with internal and external teams to ensure scopes adequately consider constructability, operability and maintainability.Identification, management and mitigation of all technical risks on scopes of works and nominated projects where team members are assigned as Project Engineers.Understand current and emerging network and non-network solutions required to reduce network demand and avoid/deferred network investment.Advanced commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement and understanding of network constraints to identify appropriate solutions to address the needs of the network and customers.You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar.Significant experience working in electrical engineering, electrical project delivery and/or electrical design role.Previous experience leading successful engineering teams.Demonstrated management of a number of projects simultaneously from conception through detailed design.Strong understanding of regulatory environment that AusNet operates within.Demonstrated experience in reviewing and improving business processes.A real place to belong.We celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team.
