Job Description About the role - Full-time, 6-month contract In this role, you will play a pivotal part in the Group Fraud Management team. As Senior Investigator, you will be hands on in protecting our members from financial losses and recovering funds lost to scams and fraud. This position primarily focuses on complex external investigations, where you'll engage with vulnerable and distressed members, as well as confront perpetrators, requiring you to have difficult conversations with sensitivity and professionalism. The role will require you to leverage your prior investigations experience within the banking industry to help us navigate these challenging situations effectively. We are keen to speak with those who have had direct experience in lending fraud.
Key responsibilities include: Take the lead for all significant and complex external investigations drawing assistance from other teams in Group Fraud Management as required. Assist as required with Internal Fraud investigations. Mentor members within the Group Integrity & Investigations team. Provide subject matter expertise on matters relating to the external investigation findings particularly related to Lending Fraud and Broker Conduct. Prepare and review investigative reports, present findings and strategies to Management. Conduct, assist or lead interviews of victims, witnesses, and/or suspects. Maintain accurate records/statistics in relevant internal data systems to assist with reporting requirements and ongoing management of the business. About you We are seeking motivated applicants with direct experience as an Investigator in fraud and scams within the banking industry. You can approach conversations with tact and discretion, especially when engaging with members during difficult times. This role requires a driven individual who can take initiative, contribute to team efforts, and work autonomously within a predominantly remote working environment.
