Group General Manager - Multi-Division Leadership Role #3005

Our client is seeking an accomplished operational leader to take charge of their multi-faceted business operations. This executive position presents an exceptional opportunity to spearhead five distinct business divisions, encompassing waste management solutions, construction services, industry consulting, equipment distribution, and structural steel manufacturing.
As the Senior Operations Executive reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you'll be entrusted with orchestrating strategic initiatives, optimizing operational performance, and driving sustainable growth across all business units. This role demands a visionary approach to innovation and excellence in stakeholder management within the Australian market.
The position offers direct oversight of an integrated business portfolio, with a particular focus on enhancing cross-divisional collaboration and operational synergy.
Essential Responsibilities: Create and implement KPI matrices for all units and departments Lead with assertiveness and strong communication skills Identify and implement innovative solutions in the waste management industry Drive strategic growth across multiple business units Swiftly resolve issues to maintain safety, compliance, and profitability Improve communication and synergy across the five different businesses Provide leadership to head managers and enhance daily operations Qualifications: Strong data-focused decision-making skills Understanding of manufacturing, engineering, and technical estimating processes Track record of building lasting relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders Experience in enforcing safety regulations and industry compliance Strong track record in driving financial performance, including budgeting and forecasting Basic understanding of the Construction Industry Demonstrated ability in talent development and creating leadership pipelines Experience in manufacturing, engineering, and construction industries Proven experience in managing diverse teams and fostering high performance Expertise in implementing continuous operational improvements Skills in identifying and mitigating business risks Proven ability to drive EBITDA growth and maintain operational efficiency Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and financial management tools Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Management (MBA is a bonus) Benefits: Full autonomy in decision-making and governance across the group Performance-based bonus structure tied to revenue growth and maintaining profit margins Standard annual leave package Competitive base salary range of $230,000 to $270,000 AUD Chance to lead a diverse range of businesses, offering unique challenges and growth opportunities Opportunity for advancement to Group CEO role within two years based on performance
