About the Opportunity Student Horizons is seeking a full-time Group Flights Specialist based in Caloundra (Moffat Beach), QLD .
This role, reporting to the Finance and Risk Manager, involves managing group flight arrangements to ensure efficient and cost-effective travel solutions for school tours.
More specifically, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Quoting accurate group flight prices using airline portals and negotiating with airlines Booking group flights using GDS operations and maintaining up-to-date airline agreements Advising teams on optimal travel options and managing internal travel bookings Handling administrative tasks related to flight bookings and client documentation Building and maintaining relationships with airline representatives and consolidators Ensuring financial accuracy in quotes and managing terms with airlines About You To qualify, you will have 3 - 4 years of experience in group flight management or corporate travel , ideally with a focus on educational travel. Experience in GDS, Amadeus or Galileo is essential. We value candidates who are not only experienced but also have built relationships within the industry.
Additionally, the following skills and background will be highly valued:
Ability to provide detailed travel advisories and maintain financial records Experience with airline group booking portals Competence in managing multiple tasks under tight deadlines Knowledge of current airline policies and procedures Strong negotiation skills Excellent communication skills As our ideal candidate, you will bring a mature outlook and a robust work ethic to our dynamic team.
