As a result of their continued growth, they're seeking a Group Financial Accountant to join their team in a newly created role.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, this role is a key position within the finance function of the organisation.
Being an advocate for financial transparency and upholding governance standards across the business.
Success hinges on a balanced mix of technical prowess and adept communication skills to foster collaboration across all tiers of the organisation.
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. Prepare entity level and consolidated 3-way financial statements. Prepare monthly reconciliations of all payroll, provisions, cash and loan accounts. Assist the Group Finance Manager in the preparation of quarterly financial reports. Ensure compliance with all financial reporting obligations, including regulatory filings. Ensure compliance with GST, ITR and OSR regulations and oversee the timely filing of returns. Complete annual OSR reconciliations and file returns. Oversee the organisation's treasury functions, coverage and hedge positions, including cash flow management and forecasting. Assist in the development of treasury policies and procedures to optimise liquidity and mitigate financial risks. Facilitate the year-end audit process, coordinating with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit. Prepare audit schedules, financial statements, and supporting documentation. Assist in the preparation of accurate and comprehensive annual financial statements. About You

Skills & Experience A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related area; preference given to candidates with CA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification. Demonstrated track record in financial accounting, month-end reporting, consolidations and financial analysis. Thorough understanding of corporate tax, GST, financial reporting regulations, and treasury operations. Firm grasp of accounting principles and methodologies. Background in overseeing year-end audit procedures and crafting annual financial statements. Outstanding leadership abilities and communication aptitude.
