We are seeking an experienced Group Finance Manager (GFM) to join our team at Airflite, an ambitious company in the aviation industry.
The GFM will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, leading a team of administrators and analysts across multiple locations, serving multiple diverse operational business units.
The GFM will provide leadership and execution in financial planning, risk management, budgeting, reporting and internal process definition and process audit.
The ideal candidate will be process driven and highly analytical.
They will be an excellent leader of people with high levels of interpersonal skill.
Key Responsibilities:Financial Strategy and Leadership: Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's overall business goals.
Lead financial planning and analysis to support business decision making.
Provide recommendations to the Executive team and operational managers on business and financial performance improvements.Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage the planning and delivery of the annual budgeting process.
Monitor and update forecasts to reflect changing market conditions and business needs.
Ensure accurate and timely financial projections.Financial Reporting and Compliance: Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
Provide 'board packs' with monthly reports for each business unit.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws and reporting requirements.
Liaise with auditors, regulatory bodies and financial institutions.
Ensure data reporting is consistent in its construction and timely in its production.Risk Management: Identify and manage financial risks, including cash flow management, foreign exchange and mitigating controls.
Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and income.
Mitigate financial risks through the implementation of sound policies and procedures.
Conduct regular internal audits on process controls and execution to ensure standards are being maintained.Cash Flow and Capital Management: Monitor and manage cash flow.
Optimise the company's capital structure and secure financing when necessary.
Oversee debt management and relationships with lenders.Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
Implement and audit processes at all locations and with all finance functions on a regular basis to ensure ongoing compliance with procedures.
Promote financial literacy on key areas with non-finance leaders through guidance and explanation.
Support a positive working environment that values both professional performance and the value of the person to the team and company.Strategic Decision Making: Provide insights and analysis on business performance to support strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with the senior management team to evaluate potential investments, acquisitions and other growth opportunities.
CAPEX & OPEX Evaluation and proposals for current and future business including tender pricing support for the Business Development Unit.Systems & Technology: Demonstrated knowledge of general ICT practices and experience in administering and developing finance systems and processes.GoalsNo financial process gaps, including a defined internal audit schedule, by the end of FY24-25;Board pack reporting and financial dashboard reporting by end of FY24-25.ExpertiseEssential Knowledge/Qualifications Required for PositionDegree in finance, accounting or related field.Desirable Knowledge/Qualifications Required for PositionMBA or CPA preferred.Eight to ten years of experience in financial leadership roles, in similar sized business or similar industry.Experience in group business models, either legally or operationally.Experience in overseeing a variety of business units with varying types of revenue models that includes both asset-driven (leasing), services (labour or manufacturing) and sales (products and asset).#J-18808-Ljbffr
