The Group Finance Manager supporting Regions, Environment, Climate Action and First Peoples (RECAFP) group will provide expert financial management advice to support senior managers and stakeholders on all aspects relating to the Group. The position leads a dedicated team of financial management and performance professionals with specific divisional and Group-wide responsibilities, which include applying government financial management legislation and frameworks, and utilising financial position and analysis to create business insights that support group outcomes.
This role will have a formal reporting line to the Department's Finance division and operate within the service scope agreed with the Groups, Office of the Deputy Secretary. The Group Finance Manager will leverage this partnership and understanding to identify funding solutions to support ongoing business initiatives, and effectively communicate the most appropriate financial management strategies to meet strategic organisational goals.
Strong financial and analysis capabilities are required together with effective leadership and communications skills, supporting a collaborative approach in achieving Group deliverables.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Financial management experience in the public or private sector An appropriate business or finance related qualification is required A professional accounting qualification (CPA or CA) is required This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
