About the roleThe Program Group Facilitator role is a part-time position facilitating psycho-educational groups across all services at Calvary Drug and Alcohol Centre. This role will predominately be in the residential program which is a 3 phased program. This is a safe and respectful environment, to learn from each other and explore personal issues that contribute to substance use.
Your main duties will include:Facilitation of Psycho-educational groups in a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation unit.Plan, implement and facilitate other treatment activities, action meetings and special activities as negotiated with the clinical team.Contribute to the development and implementation of program modules.About youRelevant tertiary qualifications in nursing, community services, alcohol and other drugs, mental health, social work or other relevant behavioural science or education qualifications.
Registration or eligibility for membership with relevant professional/discipline body.
Demonstrate proficiency in the group facilitation of evidence-based Motivational Enhancement and Cognitive Behavioural Therapies.
Knowledge of best practice principles in all clinical work such as Relapse Prevention, Family Inclusive Practice, Dual Diagnosis Principles, Trauma Informed Practice, etc.
