About the Role
The Group CFO will provide financial leadership to the Executive team and the Board, overseeing finance, investments, property, procurement, payroll, and mergers and acquisitions. This role is central to Mercy Health's strategic planning, compliance, and operational excellence, ensuring that financial decisions align with the organisation's mission and goals. The Group CFO will be instrumental in supporting major projects, driving innovation, and delivering value for all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities Partner with the Group CEO and Board to align financial planning with strategic objectives.Lead financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and reporting.Develop and implement a mergers and acquisitions strategy to support growth.Oversee property management, including master planning, capital projects, and lease management.Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards.Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and innovation within the finance team.Provide high-level advice to the Board's Finance, Audit, and Risk Committee.About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring proven executive leadership experience in the health, aged care, or aligned sectors in addition to strategic financial acumen with a track record of delivering results in complex environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of industry trends and regulatory frameworks, paired with exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including Board members, regulators, and industry partners.
You will have a personal commitment to the mission and values of Mercy Health as well as relevant qualifications in finance, business, or a related field, with specialist credentials highly regarded.
