A rare opportunity is now available for a Group CFO to join a global technology group. The group provides tailored solutions for capital-intensive industries on a global scale. The Group CFO will be leading the Finance, IT and Legal teams and will drive financial excellence and strategic growth in a dynamic and diverse environment.
This role offers exceptional career progression for a first-time CFO or a CFO with 2-5 years' experience, looking to join a Group growing through acquisition. The Group CFO will hold a global remit and will focus on leadership and development of the teams as the business continues to scale. Extensive global travel is required, and on offer is a highly competitive remuneration package.
The role is based in Brisbane, and the Group offers work flexibility (Hybrid) and will consider candidates looking to relocate within Australia (there is an element of relocation support).
Role Responsibilities: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing shared services team across global regions. Guide the financial integration of acquired companies, ensuring seamless transitions and optimized efficiencies. Deliver precise financial reports and actionable insights to the executive team and board for strategic investments and performance enhancement. Oversee compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards across multiple jurisdictions. Establish and manage transfer pricing policies in line with international standards to optimize global tax strategy. Build strong relationships with portfolio leaders and corporate finance teams, aligning financial objectives with broader company goals. Provide analysis and oversee budgeting and forecasting, identifying and managing risks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Project plan and manage the ERP Systems Upgrade. Work with the Head of IT to build out the Technology Roadmap. Work closely with the parent company CFO. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; Master's degree or CPA/CA qualification; 10+ years of experience in financial leadership, preferably in the software or tech industry; Strategic vision with exceptional modeling, reporting, financial analysis and planning skills; Proven experience with system implementation; Software industry experience is advantageous; Deep knowledge of international accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls; Outstanding leadership abilities and communication skills, with a focus on team development and collaboration. In order to be successful, you must be committed to international travel (extensive in the first year) and working international hours (online meetings and conferences).
