The Opportunity: We have an exciting opportunity for a Manager/ Senior Manager to join our Group Risk team. This is a challenging and rewarding role in which you will provide technical specialist support and advice to our engagement teams across Australia and New Zealand.
This newly created role has a focus on authoring and facilitating audit learning for our professionals. In addition, you will have exposure to a broad range of audit quality and risk programs that will contribute to developing your risk management expertise.
This position is based at one of William Buck's office locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland. We offer flexible work options including hybrid work.
You will be responsible for: Authoring and facilitating face-to-face audit learning and webinars. Responding to consultations from practitioners in relation to the application of the audit methodology or general risk related matters across our Australian and New Zealand practices. Influencing, leading or participating in programs of work to improve audit quality, including developing tools and templates to assist auditors in performing their engagements. Maintaining engagement letter, auditor's report and other templates. Managing the annual update of the Caseware audit methodology and documentation tool. Supporting the Group's readiness for new professional standards, including authoring policy changes and preparing communications to raise awareness of the changes. Technical review of audit reports, including modifications, emphasis of matters and key audit matters. Supporting monitoring programs. About you: You will have detailed knowledge of International Auditing Standards, applied in an Australian and/or New Zealand context. Technical bent, and well-developed capability to research standards, interpret and apply auditing and other professional standards and regulatory requirements in response to technical matters. A passion for sharing knowledge and educating others, including excellent facilitation skills. Possess strong communication skills, including capability to facilitate and present internal and external training sessions; support and partner effectively with Directors and staff; deal with stakeholders virtually or in person, building trust and confidence in the firm. Exceptional attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to see the big picture and understand the commercial aspects of discussion points. Able to manage multiple stakeholders and instill confidence in the quality of advice. Requirements: CA or CPA qualified. 7+ years of Audit experience. Experience in a national quality and risk team would be highly regarded. Detailed knowledge of International Auditing Standards, applied in an Australian and/or New Zealand context.
