This is a challenging and rewarding role in which you will provide technical specialist support and advice to our engagement teams across Australia and New Zealand.
It is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter to make an impact on the Group, whilst working with like-minded professionals in a highly collaborative and caring team environment.
This position is based at one of William Buck's office locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland.
We offer flexible work options including hybrid work.You will be responsible for:Providing technical specialist advice to audit engagement teams and others within the Group on complex accounting matters.Technical review of financial statements for listed/higher public interest entities for compliance with accounting standards.Leading organisational readiness for new professional standards, including preparing communications to raise awareness of the changes.Preparing and delivering internal and/or external training and webinars that cover current issues that require communication to clients or staff.Researching and analysing accounting issues.Preparing technical guidance material.About you:You will have detailed knowledge of International Accounting Standards, applied in an Australian and/or New Zealand context.Technical bent, and ability to research accounting issues, interpret and apply accounting standards in response to technical matters.Possess strong communication skills, including capability to: Facilitate and present internal and external training sessions; Support and partner effectively with Partners and staff; Deal with stakeholders virtually or in person, building trust and confidence in the firm.Exceptional attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to see the big picture and understand the commercial aspects of discussion points.Able to manage multiple stakeholders and instill confidence in the quality of advice.Requirements:CA or CPA qualified.7+ years of Accounting/ Audit technical experience.You will have detailed knowledge of International Accounting Standards, applied in an Australian and/or New Zealand context.To join our team, please click on the link and apply today – we are waiting to meet with you!
