This is a full-time hybrid role (3 days in-office, 2 days remote), reporting directly to the Group Finance Manager. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day finance and accounting operations. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including Finance Managers at our Aurora Healthcare hospitals throughout Australia to ensure seamless financial processes across the organisation.Your responsibilities will span a wide range of tasks across multi-entities including daily bank reconciliations and month-end processing, all while advancing your accounting expertise in a dynamic and supportive setting.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily banking reconciliations and manage cash flow planning, including tracking daily spendingAssist with manual payments, banking administration, and cost recharges between entities, including raising invoicesComplete end-of-month tasks such as managing prepaid expenses, accruals, and adjustments journalsMaintain the Fixed Asset register for the parent companySupport in preparing Head Office Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, analysing budget vs. actual variances, and identifying key discrepanciesPerform monthly reconciliations of assigned Balance Sheet accountsCollaborate with Hospital finance and admin teams to ensure smooth operationsAssist in the annual statutory audit process, providing requested documentation to external auditorsContribute to ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.Minimum RequirementsProven experience in accounting, handling key responsibilities as outlined in the roleStrong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environmentHighly organised with excellent time management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAble to work independently or as part of a team with a proactive attitudeStrong prioritisation and problem-solving abilitiesKnowledge of Dynamics 365 F&O is a plus.As an Aurora Healthcare employee, some of the benefits you will receive include discounted private health insurance, fitness passport for you and your family, hybrid and flexible work arrangements, opportunities for professional development, paid parental leave, and the most important of all, working with a highly supportive national finance team.You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and love to work in a pivot role critical to the effective finance operations.
