Group Accountant

The purpose of this role is to provide effective and value adding accounting services and support focusing on financial management and reporting including Treasury, Tax and Audit preparation. This role provides leadership on financial accounting matters, input into the management accounting and board reporting cycles and oversight of the transactional payables and receivables team.
The role
Your role will be to proactively manage all aspects of the client's Financial Accounting, in addition to leading the team of 2. You will be part of a fast-paced team of accountants who enjoy challenges and continually work to exceed expectations.
Preparation of statutory accounts and leading the annual audit process
Leading End of Month close, reporting, treasury management & Accounts Payable/Receivable functions
External audit experience, plus previous experience within the aged and community care industry would be advantageous but not essential
Knowledge of BAS, FBT and other ATO compliance obligations
Demonstrated experience in leading and growing a team, stakeholder engagement and robust communication
About you
You'll be ambitious, proactively managing all aspects of the client's annual compliance obligations. You'll build authentic connections with clients, Managers and Partners to manage workflow and team performance.
CA/CPA Qualified
Use of MYOB & Xero
5+ years' experience in Finance with demonstrated experience in a leadership or mentoring role
Ability to project manage with a goal orientated approach
You will be comfortable working in a busy and flexible environment
You will be a driven and hardworking professional looking to develop both your technical and soft skills
