We are seeking a highly motivated individual ready to take on a new challenge in the role of Groundsperson Lead within our Illawarra Vocational Services team in Wollongong.
As the Groundsperson Lead, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the grounds maintenance team, ensuring efficient delivery of services, exceptional client satisfaction and planning and delegating daily tasks for the grounds maintenance team.
You will be adept in outdoor property maintenance, leading teams and delivering quality service.
About The Role : Lead a team to provide lawn mowing and garden maintenance services Oversee the upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of outdoor areas Ensure the delivery of high-quality services and adherence to client requirements Uphold and enforce safety standards, ensure compliance to workplace safety and environmental regulations Train and mentor team members to improve skills, efficiency, and overall service quality Act as the primary point of contact for clients during service visits Participate in grounds maintenance tasks About You: As the successful candidate, you will have: Proven experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping services Leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively Proficiency in using and maintaining lawn care tools and machinery In-depth knowledge of horticulture and landscaping practices Strong problem-solving abilities and organisational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including client relations Understanding and awareness of disability Commitment to workplace safety and environmental best practices A current Driver Licence An NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willing to obtain) A NSW Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain) What We Will Offer: Hourly rate of $27.17 per hour 5 weeks of annual leave per annum Options for flexible public holiday leave for events of cultural or religious significance.
