Job DescriptionInteract with Housekeeping, Kitchen and Front Office to ensure all requests are completed.Operate push or riding lawnmowers.Water all plants and lawn ensuring all plants are evenly covered.Spread fertiliser, plant food, mulch, and other materials around plants.Operate trimmer and edger to remove overgrowth and keep outdoor area tidy.Use leaf blower to clear walkways and pedestrian areas after lawn maintenance.Treat lawn and landscaping with pesticides to remove harmful insects.Maintain the existing landscaping design and ensure plant survival.Plant new flowers, bushes, plants, and decorative shrubs.Remove weeds and dead plants, tree limbs, overgrowth, and other hazards and rake fallen leaves and remove debris. Organise the collection and/or recycling of garden waste.Ensure outdoor furniture, décor, and lighting is maintained and in good working order.Properly store and handle all equipment, tools, sprinklers, etc.Oversee maintenance repairs to equipment, landscape structures, and hardscape walkways.Cleans and maintains pool and spas, handling all pool chemicals in a safe manner.Assist with the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems.Carry out maintenance on the water reticulation system to ensure acceptable availability and reliability.Have a thorough understanding of fire alarm procedures and other emergencies.Respond to and handle guest requests in a courteous, efficient, safe manner.Assist with the day to day maintenance requirements of the hotel/resort.Liaise with supervisor / manager / contractors regarding all work to ensure out of order areas are brought back into use as soon as possible.Carry out maintenance requirements and follow up as scheduled by the Hotels' Property Management System (PMS).QualificationsAustralian working rights.Demonstrated experience in landscaping and grounds keeping.Trades certificate (Desired)Friend & approachable person with our guests and team members.Knowledge of fertilizer and/or pesticide applications.Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.Hazard & control knowledge of the role.Additional InformationApart from a stunning place to work with breathtaking views of Bunker Bay Beach, we are a fun and inclusive team.
