Position Overview:
We are seeking a Grounds Maintenance Manager who will ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and effective landscaping services that meet or exceed our clients' expectations.
The successful candidate will supervise teams, engage with stakeholders, and contribute to management discussions aimed at enhancing service goals.
Our grounds maintenance team is responsible for delivering landscaping services throughout the Gunyangara Community, including private housing and community grounds.
We also operate in Nhulunbuy, providing regular servicing for various properties.
Key Responsibilities: Staff Management & Engagement: Lead communication with both clients and internal stakeholders, oversee job schedules, and support staff development in a culturally sensitive manner.Grounds Maintenance Operations: Operate landscaping machinery and ensure completion of tasks including mowing, trimming, and general upkeep.Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, conduct hydration management, and maintain equipment according to scheduled maintenance routines.Record Keeping: Maintain records for team attendance, equipment maintenance, and training programs.Conditions: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (with reasonable additional hours as required)Six weeks of annual leaveProvision of housing within NhulunbuyAirfares to the value of $3000 per annumRequirements: Leadership skills with a commitment to building a positive team culture.Experience in grounds maintenance operations and staff management.Sound knowledge of health and safety practices in a maintenance environment.Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with diverse cultures, especially Yolngu staff.Proficiency in operating landscaping machinery and tools.Join Us in Making a Difference!

Housing:
This role has allocated accommodation within the community of Nhulunbuy.
However, due to limited availability only a one bedroom apartment is available at this time.
