About the RoleThis is a full-time permanent role The Grounds and Jetty Lead Hand is responsible for providing vessel support to the on-water team and the day-to-day operations and organization of the Northport and B Shed, Fremantle grounds and jetties.
As a Grounds Hand, you are the 'face' of Rottnest Express and first point of contact for most customers; your role is key to ensuring a positive experience for our guests.
Your daily duties will include, but are not limited to:
Delivering vessel support on shore via jetty setup, guest queue management, and vessel berthing/departure proceduresAssisting with training, providing direction, and supervision of Grounds & Jetty HandsAssisting with the loading and unloading of bicycles and luggage onto and off of the vesselsAssisting guests with their luggage, while providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their safety and comfortCoordination of bike fleet, ensuring adequate numbers are available to suit operational requirementsEnsuring bikes and special equipment are loaded on each vessel as per bookings and operational requirementsProviding support to the on-water team and overall operation to ensure operations schedules and objectives are metAdhering to REX operational safety and marine procedures and protocolsTo be successful in this position you will need to:
