THE OPPORTUNITYWe have two positions available to join our Grounds Crew team on a casual basis.
These positions will primarily be based at Hamilton Island, with ferry transportation included to and from Shute Harbour.
Key responsibilities include: Focus on customer service by delivering exceptional guest experiences and consistent service, ensuring high performance and professional presentation. Manage the movement of luggage and freight. Maintain accurate inventory through purchase, ordering, receiving, and counting of freight. Assist the vessel crew in loading and unloading of freight, luggage, and guests. Maintain clear communication with fleet and Port of Airlie (POA) radio. Ensure guest safety and satisfaction. Maintain housekeeping and cleanliness in assigned work area; all activities performed to a timely schedule. Adhere to operational procedures and Work, Health and Safety (WHS) requirements. Perform any other tasks or duties as required. Assist reservations team with enquiries and check-ins, including issuing tickets through CustomLinc (computer based). You will be a team player with a demonstrated positive "can-do" attitude, have previous experience in a similar role, and the ability to deliver professional service.
This role would ideally suit a motivated individual who is keen to grow with the company.
Minimum of 1 year's experience in a similar customer service role, with previous Porter/Reservations experience advantageous. Experience in warehouse and procurement highly advantageous. Must hold a valid manual driver license. Must have own transport to/from Shute Harbour. Reliable, self-motivated, and proactive with an adaptable nature. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays. Ability to work efficiently and proactively in an autonomous environment. High level of personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Highly self-motivated with the ability to multitask competing priorities. Great attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office and general computer-based administrative tasks.
