Role The Grounds and Maintenance Assistant, working under the direction of the Facilities Manager, is responsible for maintaining the College's grounds. Through a proactive and reactive approach, the Grounds and Maintenance Assistant will ensure that the College provides a safe teaching and learning environment for students, staff, parents, and visitors.
Responsibilities Undertaking general grounds work and minor maintenance works. Maintaining the College's grounds and garden beds to a high aesthetic level. Working through a schedule of regular tasks and maintenance audits. Ensuring security is maintained within a work area. Working as part of a team to ensure that all OH&S requirements are met. Assisting the Facilities team with the maintenance and management of the College grounds. Demonstrating excellent customer service skills in order to communicate with all stakeholders, including students, parents, staff, and goods and services providers. An ability to work independently with confidence and initiative, including prioritising workloads. An ability to work as part of a team and contribute towards achieving the goals and objectives of the College. Maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. Location Profile Mount Ridley P-12 College was founded in 2009 and is located in the City of Hume, one of Melbourne's rapid growth corridors.
