Groote Eylandt Operations Manager

Join Australia's largest land and marine transport service provider and tourism operator in the beautiful, tropical city of Darwin in the Northern Territory. SeaLink Northern Territory is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vessel Master to coordinate our Groote Eyland Operations - being an active part of the local community.
As Groote Eyland Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day activities related to local Ferry and Bus operations including being the Master on the Service and providing support to our local bus driver. In addition to Master duties, you will be responsible for logistics, crew management, and safety compliance. You will be an integral part of the local community in providing the contracted services on Groote Eyland. This role is permanently based on Groote Eyland, with housing provided.
Key Responsibilities of the role: Ensuring that the local based vessel and vehicles are operated and maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Communicating with internal staff, vendors, and customers to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. Monitoring compliance with safety regulations. Providing timely and accurate operational reports to senior management. Maintaining the scheduled services on the island, but operating the ferry service and providing relief for the bus service.
