We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Grid Connection Manager to join our client's team in Brisbane, Australia. This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the renewable energy transition and contribute to the growth of our clients' solar projects in Australia.
Role ResponsibilitiesGrid connection (R0/R1/R2) support, negotiation, and compliance with stakeholders, AEMO, and NSP.Understand and attend to issue tracker (Generator Connection Agreement Stage, GPS Test Plan Stage, Registration Stage, Generator Commissioning and overlays, R2 Report stage).Implement R1 design/modelling package including Generator Performance Standards (GPS), SF start-up and shut-down procedures, Local Black Start, Energy Conversion Modelling, and all registration submissions for approval by AEMO/NSP.Coordinate on-site commissioning activities, focusing on R2 validation GPS testing, reporting, and completion.Lead and manage the grid connection process for solar power projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.Coordinate with stakeholders, including power utilities, grid operators, and regulatory authorities, to facilitate smooth project grid integration.Conduct feasibility studies, grid impact assessments, and system impact studies to identify and address grid connection challenges.Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to develop grid connection strategies and ensure seamless project execution.Manage and negotiate grid connection agreements, contracts, and permits with relevant authorities.Monitor and mitigate grid connection risks, such as voltage fluctuation, power quality issues, and interconnection challenges. Stay updated with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements related to grid connection in the renewable energy sector.Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders on grid connection matters.Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout the grid connection process.RequirementsBachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
