In-House Senior Legal Counsel - Insurance - Financial Services Lawyer

This role will report to the Head of Legal of a leading Australian Financial Services organisation. Working closely with the business, you will assist in providing a broad range of legal advice to the business covering commercial contracts, corporate, and ensuring organisational legislative requirements are met.
Key Areas Responsibility:
Overseeing and instructing external counsel to ensure effective legal support.
Managing all legal aspects of new projects and initiatives as required.
Monitoring legislative and regulatory changes to provide proactive advice on potential impacts to the business.
Reviewing, drafting and negotiating legal contracts.
Reviewing and drafting product disclosure statements and all marketing and advertising material related to financial services products.
Offering high-quality, strategic, and commercially focused legal advice to the business.
Provide legal training to the business.
Keeping up to date with legal developments and practices.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience in Financial Services Law, front-end Insurance matters.
A law degree from a recognised Australian or overseas institution.
10+ years post admission experience preferably in both a private practice and in-house environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to make sound judgment.
Proven capability to set priorities and achieve objectives effectively.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills to engage staff at all organisational levels.
