Veterinary Director - Greencross Coreen Avenue Penrith Full-time Your leadership skills will thrive with Greencross Vet Coreen Avenue! Greencross Coreen Avenue Penrith is located at the foot of the Blue Mountains, on the spectacular Nepean River within an hour's drive from Sydney's CBD and well connected by motorways and public transport network. It's a hub for outdoor adventures, adrenaline attractions, historical treasures, diverse arts and culture scenes, dining and bars, and fun family activities.
We're a fun, easy-going and supportive team, focused on providing our large patient base the absolute best medical and surgical care in the region. Our clinic is equipped with an IM3 dental machine, multi-parameter monitoring, in-house IDEXX blood machines, 6 consulting rooms, non-sterile treatment area, 2 x surgery rooms, dedicated cat hospital and cat boarding facility and plenty of on-site parking. We are a relatively large team with several vets and nurses, so you'll always be in good company. NO after-hours are required as our clinic is serviced by our brand new ARH Minchinbury hospital for emergency cases, and ARH Homebush and Baulkham Hills for specialty and emergency services.
The current clinic is older in design so does sit outside of our usual stunning brand aesthetic (which Greencross is well known for) but still offers a brilliant standard of patient care and all our instrumentation is new. We are committed to a new site for our fabulous team and loyal clients, which we will hopefully be able to deliver soon.
Leadership doesn't have to be all-consuming, and you'll have the support of an experienced team in-house, plus an Area Manager, Regional Clinical Director and state General Manager to help cover the management, clinical standards and financial elements of your role. That's the great part about your clinic being in the Greencross network - you're not in this alone!
This opportunity is best suited to a veterinarian with at least 4 years post-graduation experience, who has demonstrated strong clinical leadership and proven management skills, a desire to nurture the development of junior vets and nurses if required, and is comfortable consulting, diagnosing and treating companion animals with autonomy.
Using evidence-based diagnoses, therapies and recommended courses of treatment, you are empowered to manage cases with the collaboration and mentoring both to and from your colleagues and on-hand advice from our Specialist network, as even the most senior of Vets can learn new tricks!
Apart from your new team, some other awesome perks we offer… Vet board registration OR AVA membership fees included yearly. VIN membership provided. Unlimited CE programs, paid study leave and ticket to the largest Clinical Symposium in Australia included. Generous salary PLUS bonuses! Ownership options available. Retailer, private health, travel, utility and entertainment discounts across Australia's best brands. Free and confidential counselling available 24/7 through TelusHealth for yourself and family. Relocation and visa sponsorship options available. To be considered for this role you must always be committed to delivering fear-free, compassionate and industry-leading health care and advice to our patients and their loving families. You'll also need to hold a Veterinary degree from a university accredited by the Australasian Veterinary Boards' Council (AVBC) or have completed NAVLE, AVE or alike examinations.
We're looking forward to meeting you and introducing you to our team and gorgeous patients. See you soon!
