About the Role
The Vet Referral Coordinator and Billings Manager is a pivotal role responsible for managing referral caseloads, handling referral inquiries, and ensuring accurate financial management of in-patient accounts. This position ensures strong relationships are developed with referring vets, efficient scheduling practices, and accurate patient billing. Additionally, the role involves scheduling and managing referral appointments, maintaining strong relationships with external veterinarians and key stakeholders, and ensuring precise financial records.
As The Vet Referral Coordinator and Billings Manager you will:
Provide an efficient workflow and an outstanding client experience for the referring Veterinarian by enabling easy interaction with ARH Canberra. Be a primary contact for referring Veterinary and veterinary clinics into ARH Canberra during business hours. Efficiently manage referral workflows, including the scheduling of referral appointments. Work with department leads to coordinate interdepartmental transfers to prioritize patient needs and hospital workflow efficiency. Review and improve referral processes and interdepartmental operations. Foster strong relationships with external veterinarians and stakeholders. Ensure accurate financial records and manage client accounts. Review all in-patient tax invoices to ensure all procedures and services are accurately recorded. Facilitate payment of additional deposits as required. Monitor client accounts to ensure minimum deposits are maintained and for changes in treatment plans then requiring updated estimates. Provide regular reporting on client accounts, deposit requests, billing discrepancies, and breaches in compliance related to discounts. A little about you and your background:
At least 3 to 5 years of veterinary or ideally veterinary specialist practice experience. Previous experience with RxWorks and billing procedures would be helpful however not essential. Independent operator with a passion for the veterinary industry & desire to progress. Proactive, accountable, shows initiative and the drive to achieve results. Proven ability to be organized, to prioritize, be flexible and agile. Strong communication and people skills. Team player with both internal and external stakeholders.
