We are looking for a full time Senior People Advisor in our Vet Services team to assist our stakeholders in the Animal Referral and Emergency Network. As a Senior People Advisor, you will be confident dealing with a wide range of employment relations matters and to provide advice in line with company policy and the Award.
While this role predominantly supports one business group, it may support other areas of the business as required.
Job Description Respond to HR related queries as required, escalating queries or concerns to the General Manager, People – Vet Services as appropriate. Encourage self-sufficiency in Vet Services leadership teams by providing coaching, support and advice to the Vet Services leadership teams on performance management, grievances and complaints, workers compensation and ad-hoc queries. Provide advice to colleagues and line managers on award/s interpretation, the National Employment Standards and company policies and procedures, updating the team on any changes. Provide assistance and support to field team members on situations relating to leave, pay or contracts as required. Support People Administrators to coordinate and prepare employee lifecycle documentation as required. Support the General Manager, People – Vet Services in the implementation of HR projects as required. Take a best practice approach in consideration of health, safety and wellbeing with particular regard to mental health. Perform other 'ad-hoc' duties as directed by the General Manager, People – Vet Services and/or Chief People and Capabilities Officer as and when required such as exit interviews, data interpretation, etc. Qualifications At least 3 years experience providing support in a multi-site role - employment relations experience would be highly regarded. Formal qualifications in Human Resources or relevant discipline would be highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to confidently provide advice and influence outcomes with reference to the Award, Fair Work and/or company policy. Able to build positive and trusting relationships easily and act with discretion. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft products Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint.
