Australia's South West (ASW) is looking for a dynamic and outgoing individual to join our team as our Great Southern Marketing Officer . This exciting and varied role is available on a full-time basis for an 18-month contract. The role would ideally be based in the Great Southern region, but there is an option to work within the rest of the South West.
In this role, you will be responsible for promoting the Great Southern region including the Great Southern Treasures portfolio to potential visitors. You will manage the creation, sourcing, scheduling and posting on owned social media channels and website with an emphasis on end user conversation and engagement. You will also work with businesses and attractions to promote their products and services through our campaign, trails, event and marketing activity. You will also have the ability to vary your copywriting and communication styles between consumer and stakeholder voices as you will also be managing a supportive group of stakeholders.

The Role Your duties will include but are not limited to:
Assist in the effective delivery of campaigns identified in ASW's marketing plans with specific objectives across different channels and segments. Source, schedule and post on owned social media platforms and manage engagement. Write destination copy and assist with the delivery of marketing collateral. Manage (with specialised support) content, SEO and backend maintenance to drive conversion on GST consumer website, including regular blogs, adding events and writing and updating new destination content. Create graphic design enhanced documents for use in EDM and industry communications. Provide insights and assistance to deliver and review the GST Strategic Plan and annual operational marketing plan. Delivery of Bloom event marketing and oversee Bloom event management company. Create and maintain relationships with tourism businesses through regular face to face meetings, site visits, events and support. Key Selection Criteria 3+ years in a professional marketing environment and tertiary qualification in marketing or associated discipline. A proven track record of managing an organisation's social media channels. Experience in, and passion, for excellent and authentic copywriting. An ability to report on marketing outcomes to key stakeholders. A cohesive understanding of digital marketing best practices, with an emphasis on events and conversions. Ability to travel on a short-term intrastate and local basis. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in website management (Wordpress ideal), graphic design programs (eg Canva, Photoshop, InDesign), social media scheduling and database management and comms software (eg Mailchimp). Excellent knowledge of MS Office 365: Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. Ability to produce a current 'C' class driver license, police clearance, valid passport and appropriate visa requirements (if applicable).
