You will collaborate closely with fellow designers to develop coordinated graphics for our product ranges, directly contributing to growing incremental sales and enhancing our product offerings.
What you'll be doing As the Graphic Designer in Mens Apparel working for Kmart, you will:
Trend Forecasting Identify, interpret and implement graphic trends using global trends and markets to add value through graphic design and sales.Visually articulate and effectively communicate the graphic direction for the season and stay ahead of fashion trends.Present graphic trend forecasts effectively to a target audience.Maintain strong aesthetic taste and have an eye for the next commercial volume graphic trend.Ranging Interpret range architecture to create commercial, customer-focused, coordinated artwork across ranges that reflect Kmart's handwriting.Develop a range of graphics that align with our product lines and brand identity.Brief and provide support for overseas graphic designers.Product Development Create desirable graphics to be applied to products that are unique to the external market.Work hand-in-hand with the Design Team to create print artwork that resonates with our customers.A thorough understanding of product materials and construction.To be successful in this role you'll have: 5+ years' experience as a Graphic Designer in apparel design.Graphic Design, Surface Pattern, Illustration design degree or similar.Experience in apparel graphic design for menswear, womenswear or children's wear is preferable.Effective time management and ability to plan with the overseas team.Highly proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop.High level of aesthetic taste in relation to colour, composition, materials, and execution.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.Benefits we'll offer you Flexible hybrid working options.A team member discount card.Access to exclusive discounts and benefits.Opportunity to participate in a bonus program.Inclusive parental leave and ongoing support.A dynamic learning and support program.Career opportunities across the broader Wesfarmers Group.We're here to make everyday living brighter At Kmart, we celebrate the rich diversity of the communities in which we operate and are committed to creating inclusive and safe environments where all our team members can contribute and succeed.
