Melbourne Storm is an Australian professional rugby league club playing in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition.  It is the only NRL team based in Victoria and has experienced substantial growth and success in its short history. 
 
About the role Reporting to the Senior Designer, an opportunity exists for a talented and innovative designer to join our driven Marketing, Digital and Data team.  Planning and executing the delivery of all elements of creative production, including brand design, visual identity and upholding style guidelines to build brand awareness, consumer engagement and ultimately support revenue growth for the organisation, will be the primary focus of this role. 
Working closely with the Senior Designer, and other stakeholders across the business, this role is required to work both independently and collaboratively with others in the business, with the aim to uphold professionalism and brand consistency in all visual elements.  The ideal candidate will have 1 – 2 years' experience in the industry. This role focuses on hands-on design work and offers opportunities to contribute to creative concepts and ideation.
Due to the nature of our industry, this role will be required to work some weekends and evenings at game days and nominated Club events.
The successful applicant will be responsible a number of elements across design, asset management and digital and video, including, but not limited to: Assisting with the design of all visual elements of marketing communications across traditional and digital collateral.Supporting crowd build and promotional initiatives through the design of key marketing collateral including eDMs, billboards, digital/print advertising tiles and web assets.Designing all internal requests including flyers, signage and digital collateral. Designing and delivering all annual documentation including membership and corporate brochures, sponsorship and media backdrops, stationary and other ad hoc annual requirements in a timely manner.Working with others, as required, to uphold all brand guidelines to ensure consistency across Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club collateral.Holding accountability for the graphic design offering and timelines across the business.Effectively and efficiently organising and filing all elements of Melbourne Storm's image library.Working alongside the digital content producers to deliver on key work elements, which may include static and moving web banners, web tiles and landing pages.Other duties as directed by the Senior Designer or other members of the marketing team. This role will be required to work on game day and at nominated Club events, which will require some weekend and evening availability.
The successful candidate will possess: A relevant tertiary qualification in design supported by 1-2 years industry experience.An extensive working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs, specifically InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. An understanding of the digital landscape (Facebook, X, Instagram etc).Strong accuracy and attention to detail focus.Excellent organisation and time management skills and be committed to achieving deadlines.
