Harrison McMillan is currently looking for a Grants Assessor for Small Business Energy Grants.
This role is a short-term, 4-week contract with possibility of extension at the end.
About the Role:  As a Grant Assessor for the Small Business Energy Grants, you will oversee the implementation of the Small Business Energy Grant Program.
You will utilise your expertise in grant assessment processes to manage procedures, reporting, and contract management, ensuring successful program delivery.
You will also contribute to developing briefing papers and reports, addressing complex issues, and advising on system and process improvements to enhance customer experience and program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Implement and administer the grant program, ensuring timely assessment of applications and alignment with objectives.
Provide effective support and client management services to potential applicants and stakeholders.
Monitor and analyse program progress, contributing to risk management, compliance, quality assurance, and reporting processes.
Ensure continuous improvement of business processes for efficient program administration and management of grant agreements.
Develop expert advice, reports, briefing papers, and responses to ministerial enquiries.
Undertake financial due diligence activities and make appropriate recommendations to the Delegate.
Uphold customer service principles and service standards.
Key Competencies: Experience working with South Australian small businesses and not-for-profit organisations.
Proficiency in assessing grants while adhering to established policies and procedures.
Skill in preparing and presenting complex documents, briefings, ministerial responses, and reports.
Ability to collaborate with high-level stakeholders and customers to achieve quality outcomes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Initiative and motivation to contribute to team and group outcomes.
Qualifications: Desirable: Qualification in Commerce, Economics, Business, Project Management, or similar and/or relevant industry experience.
