Classification: APS3/4 Location: Canberra – ACT, Melbourne – VIC, Sydney - NSW Salary: $65,416 - $83,160 THE ROLE:Austrade's Visitor Economy and Client Programs (VECP) Division seeks Export and Tourism Grant Officers to support and deliver grant administration tasks. Grant Officers are in integral part of the Client Programs team and will contribute to the implementation of important grant programs involving applicants from Round 4 for the Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) and other tourism grant programs being delivered as part of the national THRIVE 2030 national Visitor Economy Strategy.
The Export Market Development Grants (EMDG) program which celebrates 50 years supports thousands of exporters and provides grants of more than $100m per year. We also deliver a wide range of tourism grant programs and are responsible for making 23AF regulatory decisions under the Tax Act.
Austrade's VECP team have exciting and engaging responsibilities in facilitating, assessing, approving and managing grants for applicants. Grant Officers play a critical role with the VECP team by ensuring applications are assessed, grant agreements are issues, queries are handled and milestone reporting is assessed so that eligible applicants can receive their grant funding.

Duties Include: We are looking for several grant officers to work in the program management and grants delivery areas in this exciting and interesting Division.APS3• Assist with grant application assessments and provide critical thinking skills in assessing grant applications.• Contribute to the preparation of grant agreements and for successful applicants.• Liaison with grant applicants to provide advice and resolve straight-forward matters.• Assisting with GrantConnect reporting functions and contributing to reporting of program progress and outcomes. • Maintaining accurate information and data on internal systems and spreadsheets and undertaking desktop research. • Assisting with managing and processing reports and associated grant payments.• Assisting with ad-hoc project and administrative tasks to support the efficient and compliant management of grants. APS4 • Assessing the eligibility of grant applications and milestone reports and making recommendations to the Grants Manager supported by evidence and analysis.• Liaising with grant applicants and other stakeholders across the grant program life-cycle. • Assisting with GrantConnect reporting functions and contributing to reporting of program progress and outcomes. • Utilising technology and undertaking administrative tasks to support consistent, efficient and compliant management of grants, including suggestions for ongoing improvement of processes and systems. • Preparing grant agreements for successful applicants.CLOSING DATE:Applications close Sunday, 5 January 2025 at 11:30pm (AEDT).ELIGIBILITY:Australian Citizenship - Our successful candidate must be an Australian citizen.
