(Level C) $130,810 to $150,431 or (Level D) $156,966 to $172,657 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.Fixed-term, part-time position (0.5FTE) available for 12 months with the possibility of extension.Qualitative Researcher SpecialistThe Adelaide Rural Clinical School supports medical education, research, clinical practice, community engagement and the development of better prevention and public health policies in rural and remote areas. The successful candidate will lead theoretically informed qualitative research projects and coordinate data collection, analysis and interpretation of implementation and process evaluation data from initiatives linked to the Adelaide Rural Clinical School. The successful candidate will also promote relationships with clinical researchers, academics, educational and Aboriginal staff, consumer representatives and other relevant stakeholders involved with the Adelaide Rural Clinical School in teaching and research initiatives.As a specialist in Qualitative Research at the Adelaide Rural Clinical School, you will work with a team of clinicians, epidemiologists, educators and Aboriginal health researchers to provide qualitative research and training support across different initiatives involving rural health research and education. Working with a dynamic team of health researchers and educational specialists, you will play an essential role in developing new grant applications, supervising postgraduate students and supporting publications arising from these activities. Note: Ideally, the candidate should be living or working in a rural place in South Australia, with the flexibility to travel to rural areas where the Adelaide Rural Clinical School develops research activitiesTo be successful you will need: A PhD in health, medical or social science with emphasis on qualitative methods.Demonstrated experience designing theoretically informed studies (qualitative approach) in health services research and/or health education.Proven experience conducting research activities and/or offering qualitative research training opportunities in rural areas.Demonstrated teaching experience in the field of qualitative research methods for health sciences.Evidence of successful grant applications and/or consultancies in qualitative research Enjoy an outstanding career environmentThe University of Adelaide is a uniquely rewarding workplace.
