As an APS6 Grants and Communications Officer, you'll join a small, dynamic team dedicated to driving innovative conservation initiatives. This 12-month non-ongoing role offers hands-on experience in charitable fundraising, partner relations, and project communications. You'll play a vital role in amplifying the organisation's impact as we build partnerships and expand our conservation goals. This role is ideal for an exceptional writer with outstanding social media skills and a solid understanding of Word Press for website management. Australian citizenship and either a baseline clearance or the ability to obtain one are required. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain content for the website, e-newsletters, project flyers, and social media. Collate information for the Reports, including Annual Report and Impact Report. Promote project achievements to donors, networks, and the public. Coordinate partner input and prepare reports to funders, highlighting project progress. Research and apply for grant opportunities to secure funding for conservation projects. About You We're looking for someone with: Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills. Strong social media skills and experience with Word Press. Excellent organisational abilities, independence, and high-quality task management. Sound judgment and problem-solving skills with a flexible, solution-oriented approach. The ability to prepare proposals, applications, discussion papers, and briefs. Skills to foster collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Administrative support skills with flexibility, initiative, tact, discretion, and resourcefulness. Knowledge or experience in wildlife conservation, environmental preservation, or cultural heritage will be highly beneficial.
