The Opportunity We have an opportunity for a Grains Pathology Officer to be part of the South Australian Research and Development Institute (SARDI) within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.
The primary purpose of the role is to support the SARDI grains pathology teams in the delivery of South Australian Grains Industry Trust (SAGIT) and Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) funded research.
The role is a SAGIT supported traineeship that will contribute to both cereal and pulse pathology research and extension activities through laboratory and field work.

This role sits within the grains pathology groups of the Plant Health and Diagnostics Program, in SARDI's Crop Science Division.

Special Conditions Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.Australian residency or current works permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).Full time opportunity, 37.5 hours per week.Requirements Possession of a current driver's license and willingness to drive.Out of hours work and inter/intrastate travel may be required.A degree in Agricultural Science or similar is desired.The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.Remuneration PO1 - $68,255 min - $83,594 max per annum, plus superannuation.
