What does a Graduate Zoologist in Environment do?
Actively participate in terrestrial fauna field surveys in a range of remote and diverse environments across Western Australia (and potentially interstate).
Analyse ecological data and prepare clear, concise technical reports with guidance.
Liaise with technical and subject matter specialists.
Preparation of proposals, budgets, and tender documents with guidance.
Opportunity to expand your knowledge across various ecological disciplines (aquatic ecology, terrestrial ecology, marine science, environmental impact assessment, mine closure and rehabilitation), and Undertake training and development to drive your career progression.

#StantecNextGen Qualifications About You Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
Currently in final year of degree or 1-2 years post-graduation A passion for learning, experience, and demonstrated enthusiasm for zoology (outside of university).
Ability to undertake extended surveys, generally up to two weeks at a time in remote locations across WA.
Keen birding experience would be of interest but not essential.
Keen terrestrial invertebrate experience would be of interest but not essential.
A solid level of physical fitness and ability to pass a fitness assessment for field surveys.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
GIS and spatial ecology experience will be seen as beneficial, but not essential.
Ability to work well in a team environment and willingness to work across teams.
Be eligible to work in Australia with a current C class unrestricted (manual) drivers' licence.
